Ingredients
1 package Taste Republic Gluten-Free Cacio e Pepe Tortelloni
2 tbsp butter
½ tbsp gluten-free all-purpose flour
2–3 garlic cloves, minced
ÂĽ cup vegetable broth (or water)
2 tsp fresh lemon juice
1 cup whipping cream
½ tsp black pepper
1 tsp salt (or to taste)
Zest of ½ a lemon
ÂĽ cup grated parmesan cheese
Optional: 3 tbsp edible flower petals
Directions
Cook pasta according to package instructions. Reserve ÂĽ cup of pasta water before draining.
In a large pan, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in the flour and cook for 1 minute to create a roux.
Add minced garlic and sauté for 1–2 minutes until fragrant. Gradually add reserved pasta water, stirring constantly to avoid lumps. Add lemon juice and whipping cream, stirring well. Fold in grated parmesan and stir. Season with salt, pepper, and lemon zest.
Add the cooked tortelloni to the sauce and gently stir to coat evenly.
Plate the tortelloni and top with extra parmesan if desired. We also added edible flower petals to garnish for a spring inspired aesthetic.
