This sauce may be incredibly simple, but don't let that fool you! With rich, nutty brown butter, herby sage, and plenty of parmesan cheese, it's full of all the cozy flavors you crave on a chilly night. Pair it with any of your favorite Taste Republic Gluten-Free pastas -- but we especially love it with our seasonal fall pastas!
Ingredients:
-
2 tablespoons butter
-
About 20 fresh sage leaves
-
1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
-
Taste Republic pasta of choice
- Optional: Chopped toasted walnuts or pecans for topping
Instructions:
-
Boil water and cook pasta to al dente (just barely tender).
-
Meanwhile, add butter and sage to a large skillet over medium heat. Cook until butter turns brown and sage shrivels, then turn heat to low.
-
Reserve about 3/4 cup of pasta water. Drain pasta and immediately add it to the skillet with the sauce.
-
Slowly add the pasta water and let cook for a few seconds over medium heat.
-
Stir in Parmesan to thicken sauce, top with extra parm (and nuts if desired) and enjoy!
